Please join us for a Charter 100 hike in Tucson led by Laura Penny on April 7th starting at 8:30. We will be hiking either the Pima Canyon trail, or the Box Camp Trail on Mount Lemmon depending on the weather. Both trails are rated as moderate hikes. Wear hiking shoes, bring plenty of water and a snack.

The Pima Canyon trail offers beautiful views of the city on the first part of the hike and it supports an example of desert riparian habitat. If we are lucky, the real viewing prize is the desert big horn sheep. Parking for Pima Canyon Trail is at the east end of Magee Rd where it dead ends.

The Box Canyon trail is off of the Mount Lemmon Highway. The portion of the trail we will be hiking is about 4 miles round trip. It is very pretty, through the forest and along the creek. If Box Canyon is selected we will arrange for a meeting place and car pool to the trail.

The location will be decided the week prior to the hike based on the weather forcast.
